GENERAL SANCTION INFORMATION
1. All meets must follow USA Swimming rules and regulations as well as Utah Swimming rules and regulations.
2. All meets must have a Meet Director, Meet Referee and Meet Starter listed on the sanction application.
3. The following are meet designations:
a. Dual Meet – two registered teams, no unattached swimmers
b. Tri-Meet – three registered teams, no unattached swimmers
c . Intra-squad Meet – one registered team, no unattached swimmers
d . Invitational – multiple registered teams and unattached registered swimmers as host team designates
e . Open – any registered teams and unattached registered swimmers
4. Teams may email (debfleisch@gmail.com) the sanctions chair with preliminary meet information for conditional approval prior to mailing hard copies. If no response, please call me at 801-943-2182 to check on your request. Meet information must not be sent to other teams before a sanction number is issued. Referees will not officiate a meet that is not sanctioned.
5. After all entries are put into the computer and AT LEAST three days prior to the meet, a backup of the database must be sent to the registration chair for a check of all swimmers registration status.
6 . Once the meet is over you must fill out the meet financial report and send results.
You must email a backup of your Meet Manager database to the sanctions chair (debfleisch@gmail.com). This will be distributed to the USI Time Verification Coordinator to be included in the Utah Swimming database and to the Registration Coordinator to be included in the USA Swimming SWIMS database. Please make sure that swimmers are entered in your Meet Manager database using the name and number with which they are registered with USA Swimming. If the names are not correct, the results will be sent back to you for correction. Your meet will not be considered finalized until the names are corrected.
